Tomiki Aikido Club Maldon has been founded by Richard Evans.

Training is every Tuesday, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.
The venue is the “Blackwater Leisure Centre” in Maldon (Park Drive, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5UR)

Randori Application Seminar with Ken Broome 7th Dan Shihan

Shoshinkan Schools of Traditional Tomiki Aikido is hosting a seminar under the direction of Ken Broome 7th Dan Shihan on Saturday 14th May 2011.

The seminar will look at effective applications that can be applied in the various forms of randori.

Ken Broome has been one of the UK’s best competitive Aikido with an international career that spans many years.

The course will be held at the Waterside Farm Sports Centre (Somnes Avenue, Canvey Island Essex. SS8 9RA)  from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Places are limited to 30, so fill in the  Ken Broome Seminar application form and return it as soon as possible.

All Ireland Tomiki Aikido Renmei (Zen Airurando Tomiki Aikido Renmei, ZATAR) has been launch as a partner association of the Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei.

South Of The River 2010

A new club joins ZETAR

A new club has joined the ZETAR family.

Hassou Aikido (www.hassou.co.uk)

Hassou Aikido has been founded by Eoin Kerrigan and Phil Eyers.

Training is every wednesday, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, and is open to anyone over the age of 16.

The venue is the “Lad’s Club” in Saltwood (Rectory Lane, Saltwood, Hythe, CT21 4PZ )

The first session is free, and any subsequent ones are £5 (£3 for students, unemployed and under 18s).

A beginners course will start in November 2010, but everybody is welcome and encouraged to come.

Rising Dawn Seminar


I would like to thank the instructors and members of Tallaght Tomiki Aikido Ryu for organising and hosting the first Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei course in the Repubic of Ireland. The attendance was fantastic with most of the Tomiki based Aikido clubs both north and south in attendance.

2010 is the year that ZETAR come of age with two fantastic courses being held, South of the River Folkestone and Rising Dawn Dublin.

The Tallaght Tomiki Aikido Ryu will be hosting a Seminar on the 18th & 19th September 2010 in the Tallaght Leisure Centre, Fortunestown Way, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Sensei Shaun Hoddy 6th Dan Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei,Aikido Development Society/BAB, 5th Dan  European Aikido Association/ JAA, 1st Dan Tai-Ho-Jutsu will be instructing over the two days.

The seminar will be focusing on the Koryu Dai Yon mainly, but i have no doubt we will be trying a few other idea’s over the course of the two days. The training times are as follows;

Saturday 18th   September   2010:       14:00 – 17:30
Registration from 13:00 – 13:50

Sunday   19th   September   2010        10:00 – 14:00
Registration from 09:00 – 09:50

This seminar is open to all Tomiki Aikido Students. The cost of the Seminar will be €30 for the two days or €15 for one day. You can pay on the day. Unfortunately these costs cannot be any less due to the cost of the venue.
